                                       ASERE

Comfortable with classical son, Asere are respectful of their musical forefathers and yet keen to step into the future. In Asere, you find the son tradition dressed up in baseball caps and trainers, an expression of young urban Cuba , these musicians seek to develop their music through their inventive song writing and arrangements, building a fresh sound for a new generation. They make an eagerly anticipated return to Clitheroe after wow-ing 2004’s Great Days audience.

FREE – STUFF on the weekend

The bandstand rather than Castle Street will be a focus for outdoor entertainment over the weekend - Saturday sees the return of festival favourites, the Blackburn People's Choir and a jive dance display and workshop featuring the Laverne Sisters.

Clitheroe Town Band will kick off the summer season of popular bandstand concerts on Sunday afternoon.

Watch this pace for details of more acts as the weekend programme develops - there will be something for everyone!
